Located in original 19th century private house with a limestone façade on New York’s Madison Avenue.

The new double height entry gives a wide open view into the store, all the way into the new garden at the back. A 12 meter long reflecting pool flows inside and outside next to tall bamboo.  The two stone sculptures in the garden by Izumi Masatoshi from Japan. The store perimeter is a shell of white plaster and limestone that has black niches carved out of it.

The largest room on the third floor was conceived along the lines of a modern salon. Existing glass doors that open out on to the third floor terrace are screened with translucent silk sliding screens, thus the natural light that comes into the room is muted. Strong spotlights enhance the tactility of the elements that make up the store while indirect glowing light from undefined sources give an ethereal quality.
