The design concept was distilled from an analysis of the Tod’s product and brand: its affirmation of Leather, Luxury and Quality.
An analysis of existing Tod’s stores in terms of customer function and merchandising informed the simple plan of this space. Taking advantage of the exceptional corner location the front part of the store stands tall but not imposing engaging with the street with full height unobstructed windows.
The backdrop of this space is a large leather clad box, which contains areas for display of shoes and handbags in a calmer more intimate shopping environment.
Smooth Travertine floors contrast with the rough texture of tall plastered columns from which cantilevered display vitrines in chrome steel and glass display small leather items.
